OUR MISSION

The aim of Wanyama L.C. is to create a platform to deliver educational messages to the public, especially younger generations on how to respect, protect & interact with different animals. When people learn about the appreciation of animals, conflicts between human & animals will decrease. This is our core value.

ABOUT GARAY WONG
Animal Behaviour Trainer

Garay is passionate about animals since his young age. He’s dedicated to promoting ‘Force-free training’ and the importance of enrichment programs for animals.

As the only child in the family, Garay grew up with his dog and became fond of animals.

He loved to go on adventures at the nearby mangrove after school, looking for tadpoles and skinks. Working with animals is his aspiration since kindergarten.

His training principle is: “It’s not about control, but a healthy relationship based on mutual respect”.

He believes modern training should provide animals a sense of security, which is the primary confidence builder for them and should encourage animals’ creativity too.

Equipped with the passion for changing the training method of Hong Kong guide dogs from traditional to a modern way, he joined HKGDA in 2022. In these 2 years, he used force-free training, which allowed dogs to become more receptive to learning and cooperation, by offering a fun and creative learning environment.
